1. Visually inspect the workpiece transferred to the polishing process from the previous process, such as whether the weld seam has missed welding, welding penetration, uneven depth of the solder joint, too far away from the seam, local sag, uneven docking, whether there are deep scratches, bruises, serious deformation and other defects that cannot be remedied in this process, if there are the above defects, it should return to the previous process to repair. If there is no such defect, enter the polishing process.
2. Rough grinding, grinding the workpiece with 600# sand belt on the product. The goal of this process is to remove the solder joints left by the workpiece welding, as well as the bruises in the previous step, to achieve the preliminary forming of the welding seam, and the horizontal plane and vertical plane are basically no big scratches and no bruises. The roughness of the workpiece surface after this step should be able to reach R0.8mm. Pay attention to the inclination Angle of the belt sander and control the pressure of the belt sander on the workpiece during the polishing process. Generally speaking, it is more moderate to form a straight line with the thrown surface!
3, semi-fine grinding, grinding products with 800# sand belt in accordance with the method of grinding the workpiece in front of the round trip, mainly to correct the joints in the previous process and further fine grinding the impressions generated after rough grinding, the impressions left by the previous process should be repeatedly ground to achieve no scratches on the surface of the workpiece, basically brighter. The surface roughness of this process should be able to reach R0.4mm. (Be careful not to produce new scratches and bruises in this process, because such defects cannot be repaired in the following process.)
4, hardware accessories polishing fine grinding, with 1000# sand belt is mainly the correction of the fine lines of the previous step, grinding method is the same as above. The goal of this process is that the joint between the grinding part and the ungrinding part of the workpiece basically disappears, and the surface of the workpiece is further bright. The workpiece after grinding through this process should be basically close to the mirror effect, and the surface roughness of the workpiece should be able to reach R0.1mm
5, about the replacement of sand belt description: In general, 600# sand belt can be polishing 1500mm long workpiece 6-8 pieces, 800# sand belt can be polishing grinding pieces 4-6 pieces, 1000# sand belt can be polishing grinding pieces 1-2 pieces, the specific situation also needs to be welded to the workpiece solder joints, polishing pressure, and grinding methods have a great relationship. In addition, it should be noted that the replacement of the sand belt must ensure that the sand belt can rotate smoothly on the sponge wheel to achieve the purpose of uniform grinding of the workpiece.
